Nearly everything you'll be told about marketing your business is somebody's guess. Here's how we decide instead.
Before we suggest anything, we run the actual search data for your business in your area. Not a national average, not a case study from another town — yours.
That tells us what people near you are typing in, how many of them there are each month, which of those searches turn into the jobs worth having, and who's already showing up when they look.
We built our own tools to do this because the off-the-shelf ones are aimed at big brands and don't answer the questions a business owner actually has.
If we can't show you the number behind a recommendation, we shouldn't be making it.
Why that matters
Pick a strategy, sell it, then find numbers that make it look sensible. It's why so much marketing advice sounds the same regardless of who's giving it or who it's for.
Doing it in the right order is slower and it occasionally produces an answer nobody wants — including "there isn't enough demand here to justify this." We'd rather tell you that than take the money.
We're a husband-and-wife team. Between us we've owned and run businesses ourselves — which means we've sat on your side of this conversation before we ever sat on ours.
That background isn't the reason to hire us. What it's actually good for is knowing which questions to put to the data in the first place: which jobs are worth chasing, which ones eat your day for no margin, and what a customer is really asking when they phone.
The answers still come from the numbers.
